Cancelling an event
Sometimes plans fall through and an event has to come down off the schedule. As the organizer you can remove it yourself in a couple of clicks.
How to delete
Open the event's page and click Delete event at the top of the event card. A small dialog asks "Are you sure you want to delete [event title]? This action cannot be undone." Click Delete Event to confirm, or Cancel to back out.
What happens after
Deleting is permanent — the event row is removed and the page falls back to a "This event is no longer available" notice for anyone who follows a stale link. Your own RSVP is auto-set to No so the event drops off your upcoming list cleanly.
No cancellation email is sent from the organizer flow. If you'd like attendees to know what happened, post a note in the related group, or message them from a sibling event in the same series before you delete this one.
Deleting one occurrence of a recurring event
Each occurrence is its own event row. Open the specific date you need to drop and click Delete event there — other dates aren't affected.
Rescheduling instead
If you can host on a different day, edit the event to the new date instead of deleting. Editing keeps RSVPs in place and emails everyone with the change. See the editing-an-event help article.
Undoing a delete
There's no undo — once deleted, the event is gone. If a delete was a mistake, recreate the event and post a quick note in the relevant group so anyone who'd RSVP'd can find it again.
Need a different cancellation flow?
A platform admin can mark an event "Cancel event" with a reason that's stored in the moderation log. If you'd like that handled instead of a hard delete, contact support.
