Reaching the volunteer behind a popup
A popup runs without much back-and-forth — supporters just come by during the open hours and pick up a sign. Most of what they need is already on the popup's public page.
The public note does the talking
When you create a popup, the Public note is shown to supporters on the Forever Canadian website. Use it for the small things that save a phone call: "Side door, ring the bell", "Park on the street, not the driveway", "Knock if the box is empty and I'll bring more." Keep it short and clear.
Anything you'd rather other volunteers see but supporters shouldn't goes in the Volunteer-only notes instead — that box never shows on the public site.
Reaching another volunteer
If you need to reach the volunteer who set up a popup — to coordinate, ask about leftover signs, or hand one off — open their profile and send them a 1:1 message from the inbox. See the sending-a-1-1-message help article for the steps.
Coordinating with your group
For anything the whole team should know — "we're out of signs at the hall popup", "can someone cover Saturday?" — post in your city group instead of messaging people one at a time. Everyone sees it and can pitch in.
Still stuck?
If you can't reach the right volunteer, contact support and we'll help connect you.
