The news feed

Last reviewed 2026-05-16 · About a 2 minute read

The news feed is a separate page from the volunteer feed. It collects recent news articles relevant to the issues our movement cares about.

Where to find it

Open Resources in the sidebar and click News.

What you'll see

A scrolling list of recent articles. Each card shows the headline, a short excerpt (about three lines), the publication, and a publish date. Click any headline or thumbnail to read the full article on the publisher's site — it opens in a new tab.

Scroll to the bottom and the next batch of articles loads automatically. When there are no more articles, you'll see "You're all caught up!".

Sharing an article to your feed

Each card has a Share to Feed button (a small share icon at the bottom-right). Clicking it opens a quick dialog so you can add a comment and post the article to the volunteer feed for others to see.

How articles are chosen

Articles are pulled from a news service that tracks Canadian publications, then filtered for relevance to the movement. Moderators can also add specific articles by hand. Regular volunteers don't submit articles directly — if you've seen something the whole movement should read, the best path is to share it to your feed using the button above, or send the link to support and we'll consider adding it.

Moderation

If an article turns out to be wrong, low-quality, or from a source we no longer trust, a moderator can remove it. Removed articles drop out of the feed for everyone.

If a whole publication has problems, moderators can also block the domain so no further articles from them are added.

Reporting an article

The news cards don't have a Report option directly on them. If you spot an article that doesn't belong, contact support with the headline and link.

If anything here doesn't match what you see on the page, contact support.
