Using the post editor
The post editor is what you write into when you make a post on the feed, post inside a group, or comment on a post. A short tour:
Formatting your text
The toolbar sits below the writing area, not above. Buttons have tooltips that read Bold, Italic, Underline, Heading, Bulleted list, Numbered list, Link, Quote, Undo, and Redo. They show as small icons. You can highlight a word and click a button, or click a button first and start typing.
Adding a link
Type or paste any web address (starting with http) and the editor
turns it into a clickable link automatically. To link from custom
text, highlight the text first and click the Link button.
Lists
Click the Bulleted list or Numbered list button in the toolbar. Click again to switch back to regular paragraph text.
Sending vs. a new line
Pressing Enter by itself adds a new line. To send, click the round send button on the right side of the composer. (The send button's tooltip mentions a Cmd/Ctrl+Enter shortcut, but the shortcut is only wired up in messages and event comments — not on feed and group post composers, so you'll need to click the button.)
Mentioning someone
Type @ and start typing a name. A small list of matching people appears. Click the right one to drop their name into your post — they'll get a notification. Inside a group, the search only returns members of that group.
Undo a mistake
The toolbar has dedicated Undo and Redo buttons. Or, if the post is already sent, open it and pick Edit post from the three-dot menu (or Delete post to start over).
