Adding a second email address

Last reviewed 2026-05-15 · About a 2 minute read

If you check more than one inbox, you can add the other addresses to your account as email aliases. Aliases let you reply to a Forever Canadian notification email from any of your verified addresses and have the reply land back in the conversation.

What aliases do (and don't) do

Aliases are reply-acceptance addresses. They are not a way to switch your primary email. Notification emails always go to your primary email address only — there's no "make primary" option.

You can have up to 5 verified aliases. When you hit the cap, the Add alias button is disabled until you remove one.

How to add an alias

Visit /settings/email-aliases directly (the panel isn't nested inside your profile). Type the new address in the Email address field and press Add alias. We send a one-time verification link to that address — click it to confirm.

Pending and expired verification

Until you click the verification link, the alias shows a Pending verification chip. Verification links expire after a while; if yours does, the chip switches to Verification link expired and a Resend verification button appears. Press it and we'll send a fresh link. Only verified aliases accept inbound replies — pending aliases don't route mail.

Removing an alias

Press the trash icon beside any alias and confirm in the dialog that appears. Replies from that address will stop being accepted right away.

What if a verification email never arrives?

Check the spam folder, then press Resend verification from the same screen. If it still doesn't show up, press No, this didn't help below to send us a message and tell us the address you're trying to add.
