Paint The Province
Paint The Province is a volunteer-led lawn-sign campaign across Alberta. You can request signs from a Forever Canadian center near you, pick them up, install them on neighbourhood lawns, and track your own sign requests and installs from your dashboard.
How to participate
Open Lawn signs from the sidebar and choose The Map. The page shows four large action cards:
- Request signs — opens the request form so you can ask a Forever Canadian center for a batch of signs.
- Install a sign — opens the install dialog where you record where you planted a sign.
- View my signs — opens your dashboard at My Paint The Province signs, where you'll see your inventory count, active requests, recent installs, and an activity timeline.
- How it works — brings you here.
The end-to-end flow
- Request — pick a Forever Canadian center, choose a quantity, and submit. See Requesting lawn signs.
- Wait for approval — a center lead at the center reviews your request. Once it's approved, the pickup time appears on your dashboard at My Paint The Province signs. Most requests are reviewed within 2-3 days.
- Pick up — when you arrive at the center and collect the signs, tap Mark picked up on the request — a confirm dialog opens, you tap Yes, I've picked up these signs, and those signs move into your Your inventory card as signs ready to install.
- Install — for each sign you plant, tap Install a sign
and record the postal code (and optionally the street address
- the residents at that address). See Installing a sign.
- Track — the activity timeline on your dashboard logs every request, pickup, and install.
Stuck?
If anything looks off — your inventory count doesn't match what you picked up, or a request you submitted doesn't show up — reach out to support and we'll take a look.
Center leads
Each center page now shows public center details to signed-in members: the address, opening hours, upcoming pickup windows, current leads, and center statistics. If you want to help run a center, click Volunteer at this center from the center page. See Becoming a center lead for the application flow and Leading a center for the review and approval workflow.
