Training and onboarding
When you first sign up, we walk you through a short onboarding so you know how to take part.
What onboarding covers
You'll see four screens in order — Personal Info, Address, Terms, and a final Complete screen. The first two collect a few details and your home address. The third asks you to review and accept our terms. The last is a brief thank-you screen, after which the site shows you a short welcome message and then drops you on your main feed.
Stuck on a step?
If a screen won't let you continue, the most common cause is a required field that's still empty. Look for fields with a red message underneath. Terms in particular can't be skipped — you have to accept to move on.
You can take your time
If you need to step away, close the tab. When you sign back in, the stepper picks up where you left off.
After onboarding
Once you're through, the sidebar opens up: Feed, Events, Inbox, Connections, Groups, Resources, and your Profile. A good next step is the your-first-week article for a week-one checklist, or finding-your-citys-group to meet the people near you.
