Browsing all groups
The Groups page lists every group on Forever Canadian. It's the fastest way to find one near you or to see what's going on in other Alberta cities.
Where to find it
Click Groups in the sidebar.
How the page is laid out
The page automatically groups your results into sections:
- My groups — the ones you're already a member of.
- Groups in Your City — local groups based on the city in your profile.
- Elsewhere in Alberta — everything else.
If you haven't set a city yet, you'll just see one All groups section instead. Groups are sorted with the newest first.
Filtering by city
Use the Filter by city dropdown next to the search box. Pick any Alberta city and the page rearranges the sections around it. The search box itself works on group name and description — useful when you remember a keyword but not a location.
What each card shows
Each group card shows its name, a short description, the city it's based in, and how many members it has. If you're not yet a member of an Open group, the card includes a Join button you can click without leaving the list.
Open vs. invite-only
Open groups show a Join button on the card — one click and you're in. Invite-only groups show a small Invite Only badge and no Join button; you'd need a current member or the group's creator to add you. (Invite-only groups still appear in the list so you can see they exist, but their posts stay hidden until you join.)
If your city isn't there
There's a Create Group button at the top of the page if you want to start one yourself. Or contact support and we'll let you know what's planned.
