Finding your city's group
Most of the work happens inside city groups. Joining the group for your town is the easiest way to find events and meet the people nearby. (Forever Canadian is Alberta-only.)
Step 1 — Open Groups
Click Groups in the sidebar. The page lists every group across Alberta.
Step 2 — Look at the top of the list
If you've already set your address, the page automatically puts a Groups in Your City section near the top — your city's groups are often already there before you do anything else.
Step 3 — Filter or search if needed
If you don't see your city listed, use the Filter by city dropdown next to the search box and pick yours. (The search box itself searches group names and descriptions, so it's better for keywords than for city names.)
Step 4 — Open the group
Click the group's name to see who's in it and what they're working on. If it's open, the page shows a Join Group button at the top.
Step 5 — Join
Click Join Group. You're in right away. The group's leaders get a notification that you've joined. From now on, posts inside the group show up when you visit it, and a small unread badge appears on the Groups item in your sidebar when there's something new.
If your city isn't there
There's a Create Group button right at the top of the Groups page — you can start one yourself. Or contact support and we'll let you know what's planned for your area.
